The best festival on earth is back and once again, Sarawak is very proud to host such a world class wonderful event, the Rainforest World Music festival.

The tickets is RM110 per day, and u can buy it at the entrance on that day itself. So, dont worry if u got a last minute decision.

Let me just take one group that get my attention, the Masters of Sape, from my hometown, Sarawak.


The Rainforest World Music Festival’s genesis was in a number of Sarawakian musicians and dancers travelling to Marseille in 1997 to perform for top music industry professionals. Hardened European agents, managers and festival directors were brought to tears at the beauty and purity of this performance, which included Asang Lawai and Tegit Asat on the traditional sape boat lute. Heralded as the top foremost masters of the sape, Asang and Tegit are back at this year’s festival accompanied by Mathew Ngau Jau, who has toured the world representing Sarawak, as an artist dancer and musician. This is the hauntingly beautiful music that started it all, by master musicians and true artists.


Well if you find it hard to drive to Sarawak Cultural village, u can always go to Sarawak Tourism Board and ask them for transportation. Dont ever take a cab, because its almost one hour drive from Kuching City and the cab driver gonna suck all your blood.
Rythm of Borneo is the theme for this year, and I believe its gonna get bigger than last year.

Oh man, u see a lot of foreigners from all over the world, and when the nite strikes, u gonna have fun with bikini girls! LOL.
Plus, Heineken beer is once again become sponsor/partner for this event and you all can drink all night!
