One of the most exciting Gawai Celebration is coming, and it is the Gawai Redeems Carvinal 2011. It is one of the biggest Gawai Event celebrated together by all the Bidayuhs and other races as well. But I only say Bidayuh, because Bidayuh rocks! xD
It is also called Pesta Birumuh, where Birumuh means farming in Bidayuh (rice planting).
Without a doubt, The Beauty Pegeant (Dayung Skora) contest is the highlight of the event! dont know? in Iban, its called Kumang gawai.. still dont know? in English its called Miss World..LOL!
Ooo yeah this is indeed the highlight of the event!
Bring your friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, family, all people to enjoy the Gawai there because we will drink a lot! Bring your cash, u might need to buy extra drink for extra hang - joget mejeng sampai pagi! hahaha..

6.00pm - 7.00 pm: Arrival of guests / visitors
7.00pm - 8.00pm : Musical Band performance by bidayuh artists
8.00pm - 8.45pm : Cultural performance by various ethnics groups of Sarawak
9.00pm - 10.00pm: Beauty pegeant (Dayung Skora) contest
10.00pm - 10.30pm: Cultural performance by various ethnic groups of Sarawak
10.30pm - 12 midnight: Musical band performance - Bidayuh artists
(foodstalls operate from 6.00pm - 12.00 midnight)
25 June 2011:
8.00am: - Arrival of visitors / games’ participants
- Various games /events commence (football, blowpipe, motik, exhibition, etc)
- Arrival of students and parents (for excellent students award)
9.30am: Arrival of YB Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, President of REDEEMS
(Assistant Minister of Environment, Sarawak)
10.00am: - Presentation of award to excellent students
- Children activities
